A native to Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in performing arts as she grew as a child. She was a performer in high school theatre and in the community theatre. She was a student at the University of Southern California and moved to Los Angeles where she played Belle the beautiful and beast princess in Disneyland for a period of about one year and a half. Then she dropped out of school. focused on finding an agent to represent her talents and then began auditioning for work in television and in film. Butler played a part in the TV shows CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. Her auditions led to parts in the films A Couple of White Chicks at the Hair Dresser, and the Syfy TV Film of Horror Flu Bird Horror (2008). She won the title in I Spit on Your Grave which is a remake of the 1978 film that had the same title.
